Server Hosting Platform - Owner

Built my own server hosting website which provides customers with Cloud based servers, Virtual Private Servers, Dedicated Servers and our own DDoS protection service. With previous experience in linux based systems and hosting websites, this platform allows me to expand my knowledge and build a bridge between different locations by providing other countries with Kenyan Based servers and Offshore Servers for Kenyan customers.

Produced full stack programs in Django, Ruby, ReactJS, PHP with the use of various different databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB. UNIVERSITY OF SHEFFIELD SOFTWARE HUT (Feb 2018 - May 2018)

Agile Development Lead Developer

Developed a Ruby on Rails website with full functionality for a client in the National Technicians Center. The site allowed them to record Technician Tasks and their personal activities with the functionality of moving their profile from one system to another as different universities use this. Below is their brief project details; “The aim of this project is to construct a system that can be used by technical staff within universities, in order to record their activities relating to Continuing Professional Development (CPD). It would also allow them user-friendly facilities to create reports, so that they can access and share the data.”

Key Accomplishments

• Worked in a team of 5 coders, 1 manager and 1 client (3 representatives).

• Co-ordinated the entire system between 5 members of whom I was the main developer.

• Boosted my representative and developer skills with a step up in communication skills too.

• Worked under high levels of pressure with balancing other university work to meet client deadlines.

Global Engineering Challenge: Communicated with teams to develop safety procedures for animals with the help of technology and innovation. Planned and executed Acoustic sensors to detect animal movements in best possible manner Engineering You’re Hired: Worked in a team of Mechanical, Electrical and Aerospace Engineers to come up with a “Artificial Intelligence for home systems and safety” which would take current Smart Homes a level higher.

• Built positive relationship with each participant of organization and fostered positive connections between participants.

• Delivered presentations for audience, which helped to improve presentations skills. Collected required data and formulated reports and statistics based on animal deaths.

Developed professional association with clients in order to finalise logos. Designed logo printed T-shirts by adhering company’s standards and policies. Delivered support to all stakeholders in the firm as well as held accountable for network and devices setup for organisation.
